is the makeup waterproof?
Yes… anything on the face that can be waterproof is, and everything else is water resistant. However, it’s important to understand that ‘waterproof’ doesn’t always mean ‘tear proof’. With that being said, waterproof mascara withstands tears just as well as water, so there will be no black tears, thank goodness!
are your tools sanitized between clients?
Yes… ALL tools are sanitized between clients and disposable tools are used when at all possible.
is tipping appropriate for the artists?
Tips are not required, however, always greatly appreciated by our artists. We do ask however, that if you do have a tip envelope for the girls to share that it be handed to the lead artist at your wedding.
Rest assured that our artists are using the best products on the market to handle Hawaiis heat and humidity. Makeup typically requires very minor touchups throughout the day such as face blotting and lip color reapplication. Hair can be a bit trickier at times. Hair left down and curled is not typically suggested for outdoor weddings. The weather and humidity can be unpredictable at times, so if you are worried about your hair lasting all day, we suggest booking a hair trial with one of our artists and remaining open to a possible updo style if we feel its a better fit for you.
will the makeup & hair last all day?
No… we have everything we need for every skin tone. However, if you have a product that you just love or a foundation that matches you perfectly and would like us to use it, we will gladly do that for you as long as we feel it will last throughout the day. Just have the product with you and let the artist know before she starts.
